ISM’s Spring 2023 Show was Grease the Musical! This high-energy musical was an especially fun challenge and a great one to cap off my undergraduate career with ISM. The pit included 2 guitars, keys, drums, bass, alto sax, tenor sax, and I had written a flute part for a very excited newcomer to ISM.

One of the largest challenges for this musical was acquiring the rights for the songs included in the iconic 1978 that were not in the 1971 original, including Grease (Is The Word), Hopelessly Devoted, Sandy, and You’re the One That I Want. After acquiring the rights to these songs, there was no official orchestration for any of these songs, so I had to write all of them.

As well, as a final sendoff modeling other productions, I had written a Megamix to close out the show, including all of the iconic songs that people remember from the movie.
